WERNER REICHHOLD
BIOGRAPHY

Werner Reichhold, born 1925, in Berlin, Germany.

Studies in Berlin, Hamburg and Paris.

He taught sculpture and drawing at the Art School in Hanover, Germany.

He lived till 1981 in Germany; since 1982 in California, U.S.A.

Since 1960, Reichhold’s work has revolved around the concept of installation. This is as much true for his drawings, collages and photographs as it is significant for his 3-dimentional works, done most often in metal.

Even after 1988, when he started working on books, artwork and text appeared combined under similar concepts. Reichhold’s latest attempts in writing follow the same principles by blending different genres into text-installations.
