WHC Haiku News -
New Appointments
|
Announcement: New Appointment:
Mitty (Mitsugu) Abe
Ray Rasmussen
The World Haiku Club is pleased to announce two new appointments. Firstly, Mitty
Abe has kindly agreed to take up a new position as WHC Policy Advisor with
special interest in Japan. As you know, Mitty has been working very hard to
develop WHChaikumultimedia list as its Director and Editor. He will still
continue to do so but in a member's capacity now. May I ask you to join me in
thanking Mitty for his imaginative management and creative policy with which he
has put WHChaikumultimedia together and got it up and running? He is a creative
thinker and an excellent forward planner. As such, I am sure that he will make a
significant contribution to steering WHC into further prosperity in his new
role.
Ray Rasmussen is the very person who, together with Debi Bender, created WHC's
new website which was officially inaugurated on 1 January 2001 and which played
the vital role of a launch pad from which WHC has catapulted. Now, Ray has
kindly accepted to take over WHChaikumultimedia as its new Director and Editor.
As the design of the Parade of Arts Kukai & Gallery in the November issue of
World Haiku Review testifies, Ray is brilliant at web designing. He also excels
in photography and other computer-assisted graphics. Moreover, he has proved
himself as a good teacher. Well, the list goes on..........
I wish both friends all the best and great success in their new positions.
Kengin,
Susumu Takiguchi
Chairman
The World Haiku Club
