 WHChaibun - chibi

unruly
chibi
Georgia, US

born left-handed...discovering dyslexia in mid-life, which explains more things than i wish to remember, growing long-hair again and finding a reason for it... unruly like our front yard gone to seed, unruly like wild red maples in their third year growth threatening the septic tank and my mother-in-law's sense of symmetry

red maple grow fast
over greenest grasses...
i sit and think

vocation...the confining bounds of scientific engineering...rules upon rules stacked in specifications, i can't spell worth a damn, words just sound different to me as they break into unruly syllabic scrabble

poison ivy...
our front yard genetic
experimentations

let's face it... i am ready to be unruly

poor neighbor sprays weed
killer every summer more
poison ivy variants

rabbits, chipmonks, deer, racoon, squirrel, possum, voles, red-tail hawks, seasonal songbirds, rainbirds, rat snakes, copperheads, jays, crows, briar, dandelion, fitch, thistle, swampberry, goldenrod, gooseberry... come here... come here... to thrive in your unruly patch...

summer morning...
the songbirds outside compete
with Discovery
