an'ya & Jasminka - International Bilingua

Introducing the 'bilingua', which is a brand new form created by an'ya & Jasminka in the year, 2002. The 'bilingua' is a collaboration between two international haijin of six alternating 'bilingual' links with an obvious common theme continued throughout, and can be composed in any other language, combined with its English counterpart.  This form reads in a zigzag pattern, (left to right for the English version), and (right to left for the Serbo-Croatian version),  or whatever other language is used in  conjunction with English.

Things Unknown
hortensia anderson, New York, US

impatiently he honks the horn    bright red Ferrari

almost dawn and still     the gander won't be quiet

doing her nails      she has two fights on two phones

a rose blooms in the cracked sidewalk   yet someone complains

making an entrance in a fur coat   at the local fast food joint

vegetable garden     mother plants perfectly straight rows

afternoon tea   trying to decide between china patterns

the tourist's back turned    something unknown crawls toward her

on a whim    horseback riding through Berber Territory in Morocco

paternal village    mountain goats follow a path to the sea

nearly dusk   he rushes to catch the skydivers meeting

fly casting     the fisherman's wife tells him how she would do it

Sleepless

Outside,
as from the sea
the moon floats through wet clouds;
a whip-poor-will's recurrent cry
inside.

..............................Dwb

I watch
the stars complete
their dance across the sky.
The full moon fades, deferring to
the dawn.

......................ljc

Wandering

As one
entranced, awake
under sleep-shut eyes, I
roam a peopled land, though I am
alone.

..............................DWB

Adrift
in dreams, I see
an open plain. Then blue
unfolds, an origami sky
in flight.

......................ljc

thoughts of you
glide through my dreams,
gentle as the koi
that swam beneath the bridge
over the pond where we met

.............................db

two clouds joined
and now there is but one
drifting slowly;
if we should part, how much
we would take of each other

...................DWB

I followed you
down to so many towns
sweet flower;
see, at every crossroads
we went hand-in-hand

..........................db

you found me
when you were not looking
and I, not waiting;
even the fields of barley
know their time to fruit

.................DWB
