About this Section This section of the World Haiku Review contains illustrations of a haiku by Gabriel Rosenstock created by members of the WHC Multimedia Forum. A typical activity of the forum is to select an interesting haiku for which members independently compose digitial or photo or art illustrations which are then submitted to the forum for critique and comment. Gabriel Rosenstock and WHC Multimedia Editor Ray Rasmussen then selected a subset of the images for display in this section. About Gabriel Rosenstock Poet, translator, haikuist, Gabriel Rosenstock was born in Kilfinane, Co. Limerick, Ireland, in 1949 of an Irish mother and German father. He is the author/translator of over 100 books, mostly in Irish (Gaelic). He works as an Assistant Editor for an Irish-language publishing house, An Gúm. English-language titles from Gabriel include Cold Moon (erotic haiku) and Portrait of the Artist as an Abominable Snowman (selected poems) both from Domhan Books, New York, and the classic anthology A Treasury of Irish Love published by Hippocrene Books, New York. He has translated thousands of haiku into Irish. Gabriel has
given readings of his poetry and haiku in many countries - Wales, Scotland,
England, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy, USA, India, Australia and Japan. Gabriel is currently looking for a suitable publisher or agent for HAIKU ENLIGHTENMENT, currently being serialised in World Haiku Review. He is
