Announcement: Creation of WHCitalian
The World Haiku Club is pleased to announce the
creation of a new bi-lingual mailing list, WHCitalian. After WHCspanish
(Spanish/English) and WHClovehaiku (English/French), WHCitalian is WHC's
third bi-lingual list of Italian/English and is designed for Italian
nationals, native speakers of Italian living outside Italy and non-native
speakers of Italian across the world to share haiku in Italy and exchange views
in a friendly and merry atmosphere. It will be a relatively small list to start
with but is expected to expand steadily.
Moussia Fantoli has kindly accepted to be
Co-Moderator along with Debi Bender and myself and she will facilitate the
smooth running of the new list.
The World Haiku Club celebrates and
encourages continued development of haiku in Japan and in all the
English-speaking countries and regions in the world. At the same time, it is one
of the long-term fundamental policy of the Club to help the development of haiku
and haiku-related genres in countries and regions of other languages and
cultures. In this sense, it is a small but important step forward in this
direction that we are celebrating the birth of WHCitalian today.
