Haiku News - Croatia: Children's Haiku Festival

The Association of Croatian Haiku Poets
6th CHILDREN'S HAIKU FESTIVAL
ZAGREB  2003

The Association of Croatian Haiku Poets, led by Višnja McMaster, President and Vladimir Devidé sponsors an annual international haiku contest for children. Mrs. McMaster, who is the contest's founder, teaches haiku to children and has designed a game of "Haiku Cards" to help children learn haiku. The club's magazine, Haiku is edited by Mrs. McMaster and Mr. Devidé.

The 6th Annual Children's Haiku Festival contest brought in haiku submissions from children and students around the world. Winners are from Serbia, Montenegro, England, Wales and Canada. Locally, the festival events included workshops on origami, art and haiku, refreshments and contests.
