Louise
Linville, Florida, USA - Photo Haiku
| Comment by
Roderick Stewart: Very interesting and appropriate photo with good
placement of haiku. Winter is known as the season of things dying; good choice
for the passing of the poet's parents. Snow-slopes in the background are an
ominous reminder. The dilapidated home may extend the haiku to say something
about the poet's home life. Poet's acceptance of his own greying comes with his
realization of the impermanence of life, yet, inherent in that are the roots of
new life, as represented by the winter foliage. |
