El aeropuerto.
Todos están en tránsito,
menos el cuervo.
The airport:
All in transit,
save the crow.
Aún mastican
las vacas sagradas
bajo la lluvia.
Still they chew,
sacred cows
beneath the rain.
Este es el río
sagrado. Unos oran,
otros lavan.
This is the holy
river. Some pray,
others wash.
El cao dice
cao y el árbol sombra.
Después silencio.
The crow says
caw and the tree shadows.
Later, silence.

pilgrims and cows
in the aisles.
De Haridwar
a Delhi: sol y sombra,
mil eucaliptos.
From Hardiwar
to Delhi: sun and shade,
one thousand eucalyptus.

La sombra de los caos
cubre la bola.
Cricket pitch.
The shade of the crow
covers the ball.
En el avión
posada una paloma.
Que venga el viento.
On the plane
perches a dove.
Let the wind come.
Giza entre nieblas.
Delgados alminares,
sueños del alba.
Giza enmisted.
Slender minarets,
dreams of dawn
Tras de la niebla
pirámides de Giza
que no se ven.
Behind the fog
pyramids of Giza
go unseen.
Un monje ciego.
Los ecos de su canto
traen la luz.
A blind monk.
The echoes of his chant
bring light.
Agua de pozo,
sombra del tamarindo.
Quietud de Scetis.
Well water,
tamarind shade.
Silence of Scetis.
Tren a Luxor.
En el último carro
despunta el alba
Train to Luxor.
Dawn breaks
in the last car.
Son y no son
estas garzas volando
entre la niebla.
These cranes
are and aren't flying
amid the mist.
