World Haiku Review
Invites Your Submissions

SUBMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS APPLICABLE TO ALL SECTORS:

BIO: At this time, biographies are not being published in World Haiku Review except when necessary.

DEADLINE : To be sent by e-mail as soon as possible as "ongoing selection system" will be employed and not later than the deadlines given.

AWARDS & RIGHTS: No awards. By submitting your works, it will be assumed that you have cleared all questions of copyrights and that you agree to have these works, if selected, to be published in World Haiku Review and in any related official documents such as announcement or publicity.
All copyrights revert to the author upon publication, however we reserve the right to republish (in hard copy format) items from the web site in the future.

NOTIFICATION & CORRESPONDENCE: Through our Notifications Editor, we will attempt to contact members to notify of accepted works, only, however, this service is not guaranteed.

Poetry and essays in languages other than English are welcome when accompanied by a translation in English, and which will be used for selection purposes.

We will set high criteria for the selection but no favour nor prejudice according to any specific school of thought. Quality is what matters most.

Readers may find specific instructions for submissions within the various poetry columns of the World Haiku Review.

Calls for submission are issued on WHCnewsletter and individual WHC mailing lists. Essays on haiku and related forms may be sent by non-members at any time during the year to the Essays Editor, Susumu Takiguchi at: susumu dot takiguchi at btinternet dot com

For those wishing to become members of WHC through our YahooGroup family of mailing lists:

A convenient  feature of YahooGroups mailing lists is that a subscriber may elect to receive e-mail posts by group members in one of three ways:

1.) Individual e-mails:  posts are received one by one as any other e-mail.

2.) Daily Digest: all the day's posts are received in one bulk e-mail.

3.) No Mail/Web Only: no e-mail is received to the subscribers e-mail program. Instead, the member accesses the mailing list homepage on YahooGroups where he may view the "Message Archives" which contain up-to-the-minute postings. He may also elect to post messages from the website.

When one subscribes to a WHC mailing list, an automated application form will follow subscription to a list which should be filled in and returned to the list-owner (Susumu Takiguchi). Our mailing lists are private, meaning that membership depends upon approval by the list owner. Our message archives are private and accessible by members only.

Please find the WHC family of lists with their descriptions on the World Haiku Club website's "Mailing Lists" page. Our lists are specific to WHC's supported poetry genres, schools and activities. You may apply to as many or few lists as you wish:
