noisy flights of massing geese

rain hat and coat soaked through

a bird dog poised

trawler leaves with the tide—

thy servant depart in peace
down streets of cobblestone

the sun rises
again, again and again

A haiku garland is composed by using individual lines from the initial haiku in three following haiku, then repeating the process any number of times. Note that the concluding haiku ends with the first line of the garland, bringing it full circle.
