HAIKU
quella tua chioma da salice piangente mi rende triste	that hair of yours a willow which makes me cry
un minareto alla luce di un lampo lievita in cielo	a minaret at the flash of lightning rises to the sky
controcorrente il salmone risale cerca la fonte	against the current the salmon runs up seeking the source
migrano nubi un cielo a pecorelle bela anche il vento	clouds migrating a sky full of little sheep even the wind bleats
il pianto in gola acqua da una grondaia cade a singhiozzi	choking back a sob water from a roof gutter falls jerkily
bianca la statua ci pensano i colombi a far da chioma	white statue the pigeons provide its hair

Se ti fa velo la pioggia non m'accorgo che stai piangendo	if you’re veiled by rain I can't see you are crying
un corpo a corpo così è l’amore finché uno soccombe	hand to hand so is love until one succumbs
è solo miope— sembri tutto per lei ma non ti vede	she's just short sighted— seems you're everything to her but she can't see you
TANKA
accarezzarti a debita distanza con qualche verso mi mancano le forze per correrti appresso	to caress you at a proper distance with some verse I lack the strength to run after you
mi basta un cenno— lascia che la notturna vita dei sogni s’aggrappi a una ciambella pur di restare a galla	enough of a sign— let the nightly dream-life grab hold of an innertube to stay afloat
